Aurland Landscapeworks

Landscape – Planning – Process

At Aurland Landscapeworks, we apply an integrated approach in the analysis, planning and management of the natural and constructed environment. By combining creativity and technical skills with our knowledge of landscapes, the environment, public planning, archeology and rural development, we aim to put our projects in a more interdisciplinary frame in ways that will put the multiple needs of our clients at the centre.

Aurland Landscapeworks is founded upon the philosophy, expressed in the European Landscape Convention, that the landscape is resources to be managed, tended to and developed through wise use, and in close interaction between people and place.

Our team, a dedicated group of landscape architects, biologists, public planners, geographers, archeologists and rural developers, work closely with clients in various branches of the national, regional and local government, as well as with private sector clients. In our projects, we work at all levels, from complex regional landscape surveys to local landscape analysis and management plans. With our projects, and with our links to national and international research institutions, we create the basis for continuous methodological development related to the mapping, analysis, and processes of participation in landscape planning and heritage management.
